It did not take Asheton very long to notice that it seemed as if the other male had been too keen to share those stories of his for whatever reason. Not that Asheton could blame him. If he were in his shoes he would feel the same exact way. If Niulang did not want to share, that would be fine with him. It was his choice regardless of how the former pirate wanted to know. He knew better to push things. He always hated it when others pushed into his business, so he wouldn’t bother again asking out of courtesy. Right now, there were more important things at hand. Fake pirates needed to get their asses handed to them and people needed saving. He only hoped the they would make it there before anyone got hurt or worse killed.

Some battles were not worth the risks. Learning when and when not to throw yourself into a fight is something warriors should know. Only few were strong enough to take on multiple opponents at once otherwise it was dumb to even try. Fleeing to live and fight another day would be would be the only answer. It took him a long time to learn such back as a young man. He had to learn it the hard way constantly getting injured and yelled at by his, at the time, captain.

There was no probably about that sword being magical. Asheton could sense it with through his wind. He had no idea how to explain that he could feel that the sword was magic. It might not be a good idea to say that he could sense it with the wind. The last thing he wanted was to come off as being some insane guy who thought he could control the wind… he could prove it if he had to but he would rather not do that. He hardly knew anything about the other male. They just met moments ago in a non-normal way. It would probably be better not to say anything regarding his magic at all. “…It doesn’t look like any type of sword I saw before.” He replied back with a slight shrug of his shoulders. “That does explain why you didn’t use it to fight those idiots off.”

It came out as a surprise hearing that Niulang was against killing others just as much as he was. He did not expect that in the slightest. Not once did he every meet someone who felt like that. It wasn’t until three years before his death that Asheton realized that it was wrong for him to end people’s lives just because he could. “I guess that pretty much settles that. We’re both against killing.” He said once again moving forward. Not a moment later, he stopped in his tracks, finally realizing that he had no idea where he was going. He didn’t know where the pirates were. He was too busy sleeping when they attack. He turned himself back around to face Niulang. “You should probably lead the way. I don’t know where on the ship the pirates attacked.”

Unsurprisingly, Asheton appeared to notice that there was something peculiar about the sword. At best, the sword looked like how human decorative swords looked. However, chances were that the other male had noticed some of the foreign materials or the language engraved on it. Most of the time, he was lucky enough for others to mistake the materials for other things which could be found on Earth. The only real things that he had to worry about was the language and the hint of a taint that lingered on the blade.

He chuckled. "Well, my people had a particular way of making their own things." He would hardly say that anything that had been made by any celestial, whether it originated in Aquarius or Leo, would look remotely human.

Asheton appeared to be somewhat surprised by his admittance of a dislike for killing others. However, as he spoke up it became clear that it was a good sort of surprise. Quietly, he nodded and made to follow the other, pausing only when Asheton suggested that he lead them. "Very well," he said.

As quietly as possible, he began to lead the two of them towards the upper deck. It was only once they were near the top of the stairs that he came to a stop. "They should be at the top," he said lowly, glancing to the other, "Do you have any sort of plan?"

It would be the best to keep the real reason why and how he knew that the other’s sword was not a normal every day weapon to himself. Asheton would like to keep his wind magic a secret. There was no telling how the other man would react if he did say the truth here. And if he were to be perfectly honest here he would rather not have to deal with it. There were more important things at hand that he would like to give his full attention on… Though that did mean that he could not fight with his magic in this upcoming fight. That may prove to be difficult to say the least. He had gotten so used to fighting with his wind that it was second nature now. He would need to stay focus and make sure he did not screw this up anyway possible.

His purple gaze fell back onto the Niulang’s sword. The weapon did look strange now that he took another moment to look it more closely. He had been more concerned about the feeling he got rather than what the sword actually looked like. It was different from what the multiple weapons he saw throughout his years as a pirate and even now. “That’s one way of putting it.” He replied back. Asheton honestly wanted to know more though he stopped himself from saying a word. It was none of his business. He disliked the idea of pushing the subject when he could hold back his curiosity until he forgot it all together.

Silently, the former pirate followed after Niulang. He should have guessed the fools would be at the upper deck of the ship. That is where the ship was most crowded. Either way, he still didn’t know how to get there. He didn’t pay much attention when he first got on. He just wanted to sleep… he still did want to sleep but that could put off for now. It did not take very long for the two men to reach the area where the attacked happened. Stopping in his tracks, Asheton moved his gaze towards the top of the stairs. He needed to get himself ready to hold back enough to not kill anyone or use his wind. This might actually turn out to be a pain.

“A plan?” He repeated. Why was the one who needed to come up with a plan? It had been ages since he led an operation of any kind. The last he did, he was still living. A groan left him. He could figure something out. Plenty of times in the past he fought in situations where the odds were against him, and his men, in the end they won. Surely, that skill did not disappear within the last couple hundred years. “Give me a moment.” He muttered. There were only two of them against a number of pirates. Asheton knew what he was capable of but as for Niulang, he did not know much… One of them could play the decoy and draw the pirates attention away while the other went ahead and hunted down the second in command. It could work though it was risky and there was no telling how the other man would feel about it.

“I got one though it’s probably real idiotic and reckless but that’s the way I work.” He started, moving his gaze back onto Niulang. “I can play the decoy and draw all the attention to myself while their busy with me you go look for the one we really want to take down.” Despite what they were up against, Asheton was starting to feel excited about this. It had been so long since he last used the skills he trained almost daily.

Despite Asheton's silence Niulang recognized the look on his face. It appeared as if the other wanted to say something and was highly tempted to do so. However, whatever might have been bothering the other male stayed within his mind, only a vague statement offered instead. While Niulang supposed that he could prod the subject, he knew that now was not the time for doing so. It would be better to bring up such things later if the other chose not to.

It did not take long for the two to reach near the top. They kept to the bottom of the stairs, not yet moving up. Niulang glanced at the other as he echoed his words, saying nothing as he chose to give him the time to formulate a plan.

He immediately perked up when the other male spoke up again. Niulang hummed before nodding. "I can work with that."

Hearing that very reckless and probably stupid plan of his is actually something that the other man would be willing to work with was the last thing Asheton expected. It was by far the worse plan he had the pleasure of coming up with. He had grown a bit rusty when it came to leading operations such as this one. For ages now, he had been working alone. He did not need to consult with anyone whether or not what he was doing was dumb. He tended to rely on his usual quick thinking and intelligence to ensure victory when he threw himself into a fight. The idea that he would have someone there fighting alongside him in this was still odd to him. While he was happy that he was not alone in this, he also found that he wanted to handle everything on his own.

His purple eyes merely stared at the other. It did not look as if he was lying… so he was actually wanted to split up and face different enemies. It didn’t bother him that he gave him the easier job? Did Niu Lang even notice? Maybe it would be best to not mention it. Asheton knew he was more than capable to handle some brutes on his own. He trained himself daily to keep up his skills. Maybe he should make sure before they started anything that the other wanted to split up for the time being.

“You can? I mean, I know it’s not the best plan I came up with… If you want I can come up with something less dangerous?” He questioned. “If one of us screws up, we both would be in a world of trouble.” Pointing that out now would probably be for the better. The last thing he wanted was for either of them to get themselves wounded because they went with the first plan he so happened to make up on the spot.

Amusement crossed Nĩu Lang's face at the query. He supposed that there was probably some reason to be questioning why he was so quick to jump aboard and accept the plan. However, the celestial human had never been the most cautious of beings. If anything, he had been reckless and quick to jump to ideas that held a great amount of risk. It was not only how he had ended up separated from his wife, but it was also how he had ended up with a curse on his person.

There was also the fact that he had not told the other male that he was more than capable of defending himself outside of hand to hand combat. Magic would work well and he was fairly good at using it subtly enough that it could be passed off as a natural occurrence. If he was truly desperate he could use his sword, but he had never touched it before and had only been taught the basics of swordsmanship by his father.

"No thank you," he said kindly, a cheerful note to his tone, "I don't mind if it is dangerous." A hint of mischief appeared in his expression. "Besides, I tend to work well with risk." It was a horrific lie, considering that he more attracted it, but he was not about to admit that. If anything, it seemed like something that would just worry the other.

Meeting someone who was just as reckless individual, if not more so, than himself is not anything Asheton imagined would ever happen. He knew full well that he tended to take on more risks than he probably should. He did so much more often back when he still alive and a pirate captain. If he remembered right only three of those plans did not go so smoothly. Those three rash decisions almost sent him to an early grave with how badly wounded he had gotten at the time. He remembered getting yelled at and a talking to by both his best friend and his son alike. Of course, he ignored such words and continued to do what he did best. His recklessness earned him a lot of things that he likely could not get by not taking those risks. He didn’t see them as bad. It was just a part of him and he honestly liked it.

The former pirate was more or less surprised by the other man’s words. He had no problem with playing out his plan of splitting up and facing different enemies. It still worried him. He could fight no problem. He had been taught how to fight properly by his captain back when he was nothing more than a teenager. What Niu Lang was cable of, he only seen a little. All it would take is one screw up and they both would be in trouble. Knowing all of that could he really be willing to throw his plan into action? Well… He didn’t have a choice anymore. He doubted the other would be willing to give him more time to think. There probably wasn’t enough time. Who knows what those fake pirates were up to now?

A defeated look overtook his features once he was finally done with arguing with himself. He had the answer on what to do. Asheton just did not like the answer he that came to him. They should go with splitting up and dealing with their enemies even if there were far too many risks at play. Too many innocents could get hurt as a result of their failure. He would have to make sure either of them messed up. “Fine.” He stated with a light sigh. “Do me a favor and try to not get yourself killed. I’ll try and do the same.”

Placing a hand of the sword hanging from his hip, he started to climb up the stairs leading up to the upper deck of the ship. He would need to focus of holding back and put an effort in not killing a single person. His worrying about the outcome of this would need to be ignored.

It seemed to take Asheton a moment to consider Nĩu Lang's answer. A visible smirk crossed the celestial's face. "Don't worry; I don't die easily," he said, a hint of mischief within his tone. Even he did not know the extent of the words despite his immortality. Though he had forgotten it, he had died once as a consequence for the first time his romance with Zhinu had been discovered. However, even death had been unable to keep the former deity away as he had been reincarnated as a celestial human. The truth of this, however, lingered within his soul, temporarily forgotten.

He stayed where he was, determined to stay where he was. He had little doubt that he might be more easily spotted if he went now. As a result, he waited in place until it was clear that the other male had made a decoy of himself.

Choosing not to end another person’s life is the path that Asheton decided to take long ago. He understood that it would not be an easy one and such a choice could result in with another getting harmful or himself. Knowing that he would still do whatever was possible to not have anymore blood be put on his hands. Far too many were killed because of him. He refused to not let that list to grow any longer than what it was. It did not matter if this path gotten him killed as a result. He should have been dead and gone long ago. This is why despite what he guessed would be a large number of men, he would not use his sword. If it were like a small group it would be different. Larger groups are easy to fight off with his body than a weapon.

Making it to the top of the stairs, the former pirate stopped in his tracks, scanning the top deck with his purple eyes. Things did not necessarily look to have gotten bad like the way Asheton thought. None of the innocent passengers on the boat seemed to not have been harmed in any way yet. They looked scared though that was only natural considering what they were going through. It would not be anything they were forget soon. He took a couple more steps, moving himself to be at the center upper deck. It should have been noticeable to all there were there. But it wasn’t. Somewhere along the way, Asheton managed to forget that most of the world’s population were not able to see him. Those pirates were not able to see him, meaning that he would not be able to punch his way through this.

He was annoyed to say the least. He should have known this was going to happen yet he honestly forgot about that small fact. There was another way, of course. It is just something that Asheton did not want to do though there is no choice in the matter. He would have to his wind. There is nothing else he could do. Knocking some off their feet should make some of them see him. If not, they could all go take a quick swim.

“It’s not like I have a choice…” He sighed, the wind around him starting to pick up. His purple gaze scanned to who would be the first to be getting knocked on their asses. His gaze fell on one man who seemed to be one of the stronger ones. With one moment of his hand, he sent a strong blast of winds toward that man to send him flying. He did the same to a second and then a third.

Wheee~

It did not take Asheton long to make a distraction of himself. Exactly how he was going to do it Nĩu Lang could not claim to know that he held any idea of a guess. However, he could not say he was particularly surprised by stranger turning out to be an air elemental. The fact that he was probably an immortal made a great deal more sense in regards to exactly why the man had been so far away from anyone else on the ship. While sneaking onto ships was not an uncommon practice, people tended to do so in a far more graceful manner than actually falling asleep in random places. No doubt this man had no expected to be caught.

The strong blasts of wind that began to send men flying began to gather mixed reactions. For some, it merely resulted in chaos and confusion. It was clear that the majority of beings on the ship could not actually see Asheton. However, there seemed to be a select few individuals whose gazes were suddenly focused on the air elemental now, only adding to the chaos as the pirates tried to shout out orders while others were unable to see the supposed target.

It was clear that he had to act now.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Nĩu Lang slipped through the throng of people. It was a difficult task as, unlike Asheton, he was far easier to see, seeming to be as human as anyone else on the ship. Thankfully, the chaos seemed to be spread across both the pirates and passengers, leaving him with a shield in the form of scattered and panicked people. Deftly, the celestial slipped his way onto the neighboring ship. It was time to find who was in charge.
